Korinna
Moon Bloodgood is a well known American actress and model. She
was born in Anaheim, California and is best known for her role in the
film "Eight Below" and her portrayal of Rita Shelton in the ABC drama
"Daybreak."
Her parents met while her father was stationed in Korea. She spent
most of her childhood in California, taking up athletics and
cheerleading at an early age. She landed a spot on the Los Angeles
Lakers cheerleading squad when she was just seventeen years old.
Moon's time on the squad led to some episodic television work,
including short stints on "Just Shoot Me!" and "CSI: Crime Scene
Investigation." Eventually, she began landing small roles in films as
well. In 2004, she played a small part in "Win a Date With Tad
Hamilton!" and in 2005 she was in "A Lot Like Love."
Casting agents must have taken notice because in 2006 she was offered
the role of Katie in the USA movie "Eight Below." Later in the year
she starred opposite Taye Diggs in "Daybreak" which was used as a
mid-season replacement for "Lost."
She is set to star in the NBC sci-fi drama "Journeyman" which has been
described as a cross between her previous show "Daybreak" and the
classic "Quantum Leap."
Moon has also made a big splash in the world of modeling. She has
landed on Maxim magazine's Hot 100 list every year since 2004.
She has been engaged to actor Eric Balfour since 2005. A wedding date
has yet to be announced.
